I thought I’d share this inspiring video highlighting the work of artist Jeremy Wintrebert and his team of glass artists. The hardcore glass blowing process is quite amazing to watch.
Mind-blowing glass blowing technique
This painstaking and physically-demanding process is as equally impressive as the delicate glass sculpture outcomes. To me this is the perfect example of art imitating life.
The transformation of energy into a work of art is fueled by the artist’s life, passion, and an idea; filled with uncertainty and failures in its execution; and ultimately achieved with teamwork, extreme focus, a common vision, hard work, and dedication.
These same principles can be applied to many facets of our lives. In order to perform fully, we need to constantly create ‘balance and momentum’. Life can be unavoidably difficult, demanding, and not peaceful at times.
“The major work of the world is not done by geniuses. It is done by ordinary people, with balance in their lives, who have learned to work in an extraordinary manner.”
Gordon B. Hinckley
The way to move through unpleasant circumstances and overcome obstacles is by surrounding ourselves with a team of positive people who will keep on supporting us in good and bad times.
We have to be willing and able to do the work. We have to be willing to ask for help when we need it. We have to accept the fact that life is filled with disappointments and setbacks. We will have failures and successes, and we must keep moving towards our dreams and goals in spite of both.
“Something is always born of excess: great art was born of great terror, great loneliness, great inhibitions, instabilities, and it always balances them.”
Taking a negative experience and turning it into something positive is the way I personally create balance. I channel this energy when it comes and shift the focus as much as I can onto my art.
Keep your passion alive by moving and doing, take action and use your energy to create something positive in your art, in your life, or in someone else’s life and don’t give up!
